I don’t know if you guys know this or not but I am a vegan. It’s a long story but I got really heartbroken when I realized I couldn’t eat at my favorite restaurants in LA anymore. But I noticed that there a lot of new vegan plant-based restaurants that are popping up in the area.
I happened to stumble across Gracias Madre and I am glad did. It is a plant-based restaurant.
Gracias Madre is located in West Hollywood. It is near by the Christian Loubuiton store off Melrose. I was surprised that there is plenty of parking available in the front. I try to visit at least every two weeks. That’s how good it is.
When you walk in there are beautiful fig trees and brick accent walls. The decor is amazing. It gives off that Santa Barbara coastal living vibe. The wood pillars on the ceiling also add character.
They have patio area that is to die for. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten a chance to sit out there yet because of the weather. But in due time I will.
When the waiters greet you they go into detail about the restaurant being plant-based which is really cool.
I decided to try the most popular item on the menu which is the Bowl Uno. It is really good. It consists of beans, pumpkins seeds and more.
I also got the handmade ginger soda. It has a really spicy kick to it but it was also good. Simply Delicious! My favorite things there are the nachos and the empanadas. Make sure you stop by during their happy hour where they have a list of items for $7.00. Happy hour starts at 3pm.
Even if you are not vegan or vegetarian and you are in the LA area, this place is must try!
